Coastal Vacations Director Dean Marino Reveals Why Most Home Based Business Start Ups Fail

Coastal Vacations Director Dean Marino revealed why 95% of new home based business start ups fail. The revelation came while Marino was hosting a live conference call for the Coastal Vacations Sales Center. The live Q&A conference calls are an integral part of the Coastal Vacations Sales Center system. To learn more about the system go to www.coastalpassiveincome.com.

The failure rate is a dirty little secret that those who market home based business opportunities have concealed for years. Most new home based business owners would never invest their hard earned money to start a business, if they realized they only had a 5% chance of ever making a profit

..

The number one reason most start ups fail is that business owners unwittingly enter a business that requires that they sell. They lack the required sales skills, and they have no desire or aptitude to learn how to sell. Why do so many people enter a sales business without possessing the required skills? The problem is most home based businesses tout themselves by saying there is no selling involved.

Over the years "selling systems" have been developed whereby the home based business marketer sends leads to websites that explain the benefits of the product. Some even have fancy flash movies that convey the information, 5a8 Auto-responders are used to keep sales pitches via email in front of the leads. What all of those elaborate systems have in common, is that after one or several exposures to the "selling system," the home based business owner must call the prospect, and ask for the money. When someone calls the client to ask for the sale, and of course the money, I call that person a salesperson.

Why don't these home based business opportunities come clean and call their associates salespeople? Simple, marketing experts say that 95% of all home based business owners hate to sell. Referring to their associates as salespeople would be like advertising a dentist's services as "extremely painful, but fast." That's not what most people are looking for.

Obama's Health Plan Could Provide Coverage for Majority of Uninsured Americans

InsuranceBureau.com, independent consumer resource for insurance information, reports that of the 47 million Americans uninsured, possibly 30 million or more could be covered under the tenets of Barack Obama's health insurance proposal.

According to BarackObama.com, Obama's health insurance proposal features many ambitious and grand features such as coverage for pre-existing conditions, tax credits to small businesses that offer employer based health insurance coverage, preventive screenings, and much more. Obama's health insurance plan may also include "medical home" where a primary doctor coordinates healthcare. "In a sense, his proposal is similar to an HMO with the primary doctor as a sort of healthcare czar for each individual and the emphasis on preventive medicine," says CEO Eric Oster of InsuranceBureau.com.

A federal district court judge ruled yesterday that a retailer may be sued if its website is inaccessible to the blind. The ruling was issued in a case brought by the National Federation of the Blind against Target Corp. (Northern District of California Case No. C 06-01802 MHP) The suit charges that Target’s website (www.target.com) is inaccessible to the blind, and therefore violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. (ADA), the California Unruh Civil Rights Act, and the California Disabled Persons Act. Target asked the court to dismiss the action by arguing that no law requires Target to make its website accessible. Fighting Childhood Obesity is as Easy as 5-2-1-0 for grocery wholesaler, hospital, and school

To achieve this goal, this community must first overcome tough obstacles like childhood obesity, which threatens to increase kids' risk factors for chronic diseases like cancer. To protect and improve children's health, three pillars in this classic New England community (a company, a hospital, and a school) are joining forces to reduce children's weight problems using an innovative but simple approach. Together, they are introducing a catchy formula--5-2-1-0. The slogan 5-2-1-0 serves as a guide for families to manage healthy eating, exercise, and screen time. The comprehensive approach also serves as model for other communities seeking to work together to tackle this growing public health problem.

Six Months in, MidMarketer Scores Big by Finally Giving Mid-sized Marketing Professionals a Place to Call Home

Some say they're stuck in the middle: too big for the guerilla, hyper-tactics of tiny companies. But too small to emulate everything a Fortune 500 company might do market itself. Now six months in, startup MidMarketer continues to gain credibility and readership by putting useful information on the table that is ideally scaled to the opportunities and limitations of the mid-sized marketing effort.

Proving that one size doesn't fit all.

Mid-marketers don't have the layers of personnel supporting a brand the way a large company does. At the same time, their Director of Marketing may not also be the CEO and administrative assistant, as with a start-up business. This is why www.MidMarketer.com gravitates toward the "fertile middle"-- serving up a un 00004000 ique mix of practical information, tailored guidance, and qualified resources just for the central segment.
