American Community Named One of ‘Detroit Free Press: Top Workplaces 2008’

American Community Mutual Insurance Company announced today that it has made the list of "Top Workplaces 2008" sponsored by the "Detroit Free Press." The survey polled approximately 23,372 employees from 191 nominated companies throughout southeast Michigan.

To participate, the nominated company’s human resource department completes a questionnaire on several topics, including among others, benefits, company operations, career advancement, recruitment and salary administration. Then, employees are randomly selected by a third-party vendor to complete a confidential web-based survey aimed at gaining knowledge on the company’s employment practices. Once the data is collected and analyzed, the results of the employee survey are compared across all organizations and the top 75 companies are selected for the honor. The survey results and list of top 75 companies appeared in the October 19, 2008 issue of the "Detroit Free Press."
