Once Upon a Family was founded in 2002 by Lorle Campos, author of the book The Little Things Are The Big Things ...simple ways to bring your family closer.

An article about Our Fondest Childhood Memories inspired Campos to begin a personal quest for information about creating family ties. A business professional and busy mother of five, Campos founded Once Upon a Family after three years of extensive research on how simple rituals and traditions impact family life. She wrote The Seven Keys to Creating Family Ties, which serves as the inspiration for Once Upon a Familys collection of over 75 beautiful heirloom-style products that promise simple and fun ways to do more for your family in less time.
