"I'm an avid iPhone fan and I think that software applications give the device an amazing amount of potential," said Lee, the company's managing director. "One day in the parking lot I decided to test the accuracy of the phone's GPS system to pinpoint my car, and I was pleasantly surprised by the results. A few months later, after some hard work, Car Spotter was born."
To save a parked car location, users simply tap the car icon. When users are ready to find their vehicle, they tap the "Find Car" button to be safely guided back, either through a map or written street-by-street directions. The application gives users the option to zoom in on the car as well as the option to view either a traditional map or a hybrid satellite map.
In addition, the application features a built-in camera, photo log, audio recorder, and text notes - in case users need to snap a shot of a nearby landmark or jot down a note about the parking meter limit.
"The beauty of the iPhone is that each day we are discovering new ways that it can make our lives a little better or a little easier," Lee said. "Car Spotter is one of the many examples of these ingenious applications that can eliminate a small everyday worry or stress. It is one more way that we can save a few minutes in our day, prevent a hassle, or simply feel safer as we make our way home."
Car Spotter is currently available for download at the Apple iTunes Store for $0.99. Product Link.
