All operation-running companies within the Stampen Group will be certified according to the ISO 14001 international standard before the end of 2010. Stampen has selected Intertek Semko Certification AB as the certification body.

"The environment is one of the five focus areas in Stampen's strategy for 2012. It is important for our credibility that those of us working in the media industry take environmental responsibility like other companies and authorities. If we don't, customers will demand it of us and if we are to scrutinise others, then we must be able to handle being scrutinised," says Tomas Brunegård, CEO and president of the Stampen Group.

V-TAB, Scandinavia's largest printing group, and Norrtelje Tidning are two operations within the Stampen Group that are already certified. V-TAB was certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The certification project has also begun at Prolog, GP, Samedio and Stampen AB.

The Stampen Group strives to create, produce, distribute and sell products and services in harmony with nature's demands. In addition to weighing in the environmental aspects in all relevant decisions, the group is working to reduce its affect on the environment within the areas of energy, waste and transportation.
