"I wished to have a business that would specialize in one field..... I'm quite happy to be the local reference for coffee, and that people know about the Caffuccino." Michel said, when asked what brought him to the world of espresso.
In the interview, just released on My-Best-Coffee, he did talk espresso, but more than that he shared some of his story. It isn't often that you get to talk a business owner with Michel's success.
Lussier started his chain in 1997. Initially he started small, with the goal of opening a cafe that he himself would enjoy. "I wanted to create a space where I would feel good as a client."
With that in mind, he opened his first cafe. Since then he has opened three more coffee shops, and has made his business a huge success.
When asked what the most important quality of a successful entrepreneur was, Michel was quick to answer. "I think that in order to launch a business, you need to be passionate. My passion is my Caffuccino bistros."
Michel's passions were clear, as he shared his views about espresso, cappuccino, and some ideas about his recipes. He even talked about his superautomatic espresso machines, and semi-automatic machines.
Lussier further shared his love for the business, by sharing with us how he incorporates his commercial machines into the decor of his Bistros. "We chose the Astoria Argenta for all 4 cafés for two reasons: looks and consistency."
For more, see the transcript of interview in its entirety. It is available now as part of our monthly column: Espresso Talk of the Month. Entrepreneurs, coffee lovers, and cafe owners alike, are not going to want to miss this one.
