Starbury to Outfit Atlanta's Krunk

The Atlanta Krunk CBA Basketball franchise is proud to announce that NY Knick Superstar Guard Stephon Marbury's Starbury Shoe and Clothing line, (which has garnered national praise and attention for it's affordable price tag and quality), will be the official outfitters of the Atlanta Krunk basketball team, as it begins it's inaugural season this November.

Starbury, which is distributed through an exclusive retail deal with Steve & Barry's, will outfit the Krunk in it's signature shoe line, as well as the actual game uniforms, practice tee shirts and warmups.

Krunk Founder/President, and acting GM Duane "Spyder D" Hughes stated, "We are extremely grateful and fortunate to have a superstar of Stephon's stature, to offer this great opportunity to our squad, as we embark upon our inaugural season. Everyone that puts on that uniform better be worthy, as well as proud to wear it, as it is truly a privelage. Kenny Anderson and Stephon Marbury are two of the best to ever lace on a pair of sneakers, and I am humbled to be associated with them in any capacity."

Added newly named Head Coach Kenny Anderson, "I am humbled by all the love and support that has been pouring in from around the country since the announcement of my hiring. For Steph to do this for our organization, and for me, is huge. Me and my assistants, Vince Smith, and Lamont Moreno, plan to instill the same pride and determination in every player that dons that uniform, that Stephon has shown throughout his entire life.

Atlanta Krunk majority owner Freedom Williams elaborated, "Sports is, and should be about reason, and reason denotes compassion. If you

did not know anything about Stephon Marbury before his apparel line, you got to know a tremendous amount about the character of the man after the Starbury line was launched. Stephon and myself are involved in the same humanitarian causes in the inner city, and it is an honor and a pleasure to work alongside the man on both civic and business endeavors. I respect him greatly, and not just for his basketball prowess, but also for his business acumen. Pricing his shoes way below the national average was brilliant and the Atlanta Krunk organization is extremely proud to wear the Starbury line."

Marbury, who earned the nickname "Starbury" as a playground legend in Coney Island, spoke about his kinship with fellow NYC point guard and Georgia Tech alum Kenny Anderson, and what the sponsorship deal means for his Starbury brand. "It's a blessing to be part of something that is about to become something big... I am proud of Kenny as he makes his pro coaching debut. He and I share a bond that goes deeper than the Tech connection, and being point guards from New York City."

The Starbury shoe has garnered national acclaim from parents, teens and basketball players for it's astounding quality and affordable $14.98 price tag. Marbury was recently featured as a guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show where he discussed the entire line and brand, as well as his motivation and philosophy behind it's inception.

Chicago Bull Superstar Ben Wallace has recently come on board with his own signature shoe to be added to the Starbury Collection.
