SemTech 2008 - CFP_Announce
The 2007 Semantic Technology Conference, also held in San Jose, featured over 100 sessions (including 24 case studies), 130 expert speakers, more than 800 professionals, and drew the biggest names in information technology and business alike. Keynote speakers, presenting in an interactive-panel format, included Robert Shimp, Oracle; Richard Mark Soley, Object Management Group; Dave Beckett, Yahoo!; and Tom Ilube, Garlik, and joined tutorial, conference session, and community of practice presenters representing IBM, CIA, GE Global Research, Hewlett Packard, Oracle, BAE Systems, Modus Operandi, World Bank, and the MITRE Corp among dozens of other industry leaders.

With the buzz surrounding semantic technology and the increasing popularity of the event, competition for presentation slots will likely be even greater than last year. According to Tony Shaw, President of Wilshire Conferences, "There's a lot of wonderful new development work going on in the semantic space right now, for both Enterprise and Internet applications. SemTech has been a showcase for this work since our inception and we plan again to include the most compelling case study applications in the 2008 program."
